Soilwork's gear +soilwork in general - metalheads look here
« on: March 30, 2006, 10:43:00 PM »
just wondering, does anyone on here know what gear (particularly amps) soilwork use? hsa anyone even heard of soilwork?

im in love with their tone at the moment.... so bassy but still really tight and crunchy... simply gorgeous......... i like it more than a lot of other metal tones ive heard... its on a par with panteras tone but its a completely different sound (to my ears anyway)... for any metal heads, if you havent heard of them their a great band.... and i really wanna know what kind of ball-park their equipment is in.

any info much appreciated.

thanks.

sam.

P.S- especially the track 'sadistic lullabye' GREAT song and GREAT tone.... mmmmmmmmm its soooooooo good listening to it right now... headbanging YEAHHHEHRR!!!!!

OH and 'the mindmaker' as well.... yer... and follow the hollow, and... AND EVERYTHING...  !!!     !!!!!!!

Machine Gun Majesty is the best song I've heard from them. The solos are pretty good and riffs are great.

I have no idea about soilwork, but i think you should just get an engl, lol- preferably powerball.

Or that new invader looks incredibly sweet (blue lights inside the head and a blue power button!)

I know they use Caparison guitars.  Don't know about the rest of the gear.

Are you on time with the forum's time?  Are you posting at 5:30am? :)

Old Soilwork sounds a lot like At the Gates, do you like them?  The lastest cd I own is natural born chaos.   I really like the keyboards too..

Hey Sam,

I've the good fortune to work at Sounds Great, and we bring Krank into the UK, so if you want some prices give us a ring on 0161 436 4799 and we'll run you through the range. Gotta say it's awesome!

They are also doing a distortion pedal now, so might be worth having a look if you can't afford a new head and cab.
