Hi,
I`m thinking about replacing my old Shaller Floyd Rose bridge. As everyone knows adjusting FR, changing strings, setting intonation is an absolute torture with FR floating bridges.
Recently I came across Floyd Rose with Hollow Points as an improvement in that manner

Has anyone have any experience with that bridge and this system? Does it make life easier?

What other FR replacements should I consider as I`m looking for something reliable, easy to maintain and something that will stay in tune.

many thanks,
Lucas

Forget about the FR, Hollow Point or not, if you find the string change process a pain. I find the HP only suitable if you are changing your gauge every string change you do. It helps intonate easier but it doesn't make miracles. I don't know too much about other tremolo bridges, but I find Ibanez ZR extremely easier compared to FR for a floating bridge.

what sort of an improvements does Ibanez ZR have?
Can I drop it into the guitar as a direct replacement for standard Floyd rose?

I`m just after checking the cavity routings and Ibanez FR won`t fit into Floyd Rose cavity without additional complex work. Shame.

What other FR bridges would you recommend?
I`m not a heavy FR user with crazy dive bombs ect, just throw some whammy here and there, sometimes some Dimabag pulls so I`m looking for something easy and quick to maintain and something that will stay in tune.
I like the idea of Kahler tremolo, but once again, I would have to use one of those adapter plates, and they look awful.

Well, finally I went for Gotoh tremolo as it remains some of the Ibanez Edge features eg. saddles shape ect.
