Hotone wah / volume
« on: March 28, 2016, 10:09:28 AM »
Hello all - I haven't posted for a while as musical activity has been scarce. However things are picking up but it seems I have aproblem with my crybaby wah. It only works intermittently and as such is causing havoc at practices as I never know whether it will behave or not! I hear that they are not so hard to repair but I have no skill at all with a soldering iron. So I am thinking of replacing it with a more compact design. I know that Dunlop make a mini version but I was also looking into the Hotone mini wah / volume / expression pedal which is a little more money but sounds quite nice. I was a little unsure of the build quality vs Dunlop. Does anyone anyone have any experience with Hotone products or mini wahs in general?

Wah's have usually a simple circuit, so a repair is not rocket science. Personally I don't like the mini-wah's. They're harder to control with the foot.
