Hello everyone, new guy here with a couple of questions
« on: April 11, 2016, 12:07:27 AM »
Tim told me i would be fine, but my ocd part wants to ask you guys what your thoughts are.

I got a Rebel Yell Bridge pup for my Strat Ultra.
I want to get aggressive tones for my bridge and i want to be able to cop out some AIC and STP tones out of it.

I am a bit afraid after reading some post that the RY might be a bit too trebly.

Do you guys think i would be able to achieve some Grunge tones out of it?

Will be playing thru a Bogner XTC 101B, Budda SD80 and Redplate Magic Dust Duo.
Using pedals with both the Redplate and Budda as well as the amp's distortion channels too.

Thank You!!!!!!

P.S. i think i passed the exam answering the forums questions to post, LOL.

Normally I would not advice the RY straightaway for a strat. It has not so much bass and a lot of present highmids. The RY imo is better in a darker sounding LP. BUT, you got an arsenal of great amps. On the Redplate and the Budda the combination RY/strat might work quite good. These are darker sounding amps with big lows. I suspect the Bogner can be trimmed enough too.

We got tired of people trying to sell everyone kitchens so we had to add a more thorough process for newer users.  :police:

Look good? Sure.
Be useful? Probably not. The Stockholm even is not strong enough to hold a small knife...

Otherwise that would be cool, have pickups mounted to the wall as knife holders....oh god the ideas...DIY inc sometime?
