BlackDog in Epiphone Les Paul
« on: March 31, 2006, 09:51:45 PM »
Blasphemy. Sorry to do this one, I just adore Jimmy so much!

This is my BlackDog, bridge position>Tonelab>Logic Audio. Just a tiny little Delay from the Tonelab added. Used Marshall 80s (JCM800) model with G12H model. Will post some stuff from the neck, too.

UPDATE: Meanwhile I've posted more clips further down and on page 2.

That's her. Not bad for a 450 EUR guitar, eh? Below the maple veneer, there's an alder cap on the mahogany instead of maple, but hey, who cares?

Thx for the nice comments

Hija.
Haven't heard of Whole Lotta Led yet, but their site is promising. Will see whether I can make it to UK for one of their gigs. I'm quite often in Weybridge...

Re QUITE Page, sure, hey, that is my lowest gain tone, hehe

It is no Gibson. It's a simple Epiphone Les Paul Classic, and available new everywhere for that price, even less. Frets and finish weren't perfect, but now I played them frets a little, they're quite smooth. And again no, for that price it comes with shitey epiphone pickups, so the money for Tim's babies is on top. He's gotta live too, right?  :D

That tone was very good Sambo, you can't expect the man to plug into a vintage 100w Marshall stack howling at full chat for that extra authentic touch!

Hmm, let's see, If me neighbours have mercy tomorrow, I might grab a mic and plug an EL34 in my UniValve (usually go between 6550, KT66 and 6L6).  This beast has only up to 18 watts, but screams like a crowd of pigs in boiling water   :crzy:

Only have a Voc mic at the moment, but will try to get some good tones on disc.

Allrighty, here is some more Blackdog in Tonelab. Used the Soldano model this time except for the rhythm (80 Brit) and switched to the neck in the middle of the lead track.
