Gibson RD Custom
« on: April 15, 2016, 03:36:01 PM »
Hi guys,

I got a great deal on a Gibby RD Custom - long scale maple body and neck. It's quite a bright guitar and a previous owner took out the Moog electronics and put in some u/k pickups. They sound OK but not good enough.  I need a set which can give me body to what is a very heavy guitar.  I have a set of covered HDs but wondered if any  others would be better - Crawlers ......?

Cheeez,
Jim

Alnico Warpig would sound good in a RD.  I suspect a Holy Diver or Crawler would also sound good

I second that. Crawlers if you want a big fat PAF-on steroids, HD for hardrock/metal.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
