Altering pole piece stagger on BKP single coils
« on: June 08, 2016, 07:09:03 PM »
Hi folks

I'm looking to see if the pole piece stagger on BKP single coils can be altered after they're manufactured?

It's a set of Slowhands with a vintage stagger that I'm looking to have a modern or flat stagger.

I have no idea whether this applies to the BKP single coils but where the wires are wound directly on the magnets it is possible that if you try to push the magnets you break the wires in the coil.

It is also not recommendable to grind the magnets. The heat generated therefrom could adversely affect the magnet.

I suggest you contact BKP directly to discuss whether or not this is feasible.

Cheers Stephan
