Greetings!
I finally met the love of my life: a lovely Gibson Les Paul 1960 Reissue! It is just a magnificent guitar, extremely good playability and really lightweight. What I really like is the fact that it clocks in right under 3,8kg but it is still not a bright sounding Les Paul, which I am not a big fan of. It sounds even more massive than my other Les Paul that clocks in at 4,2 kg, but there should really be a difference considering that the other one is an Epiphone...
However, such a great axe truly deserve some BKP magic! I tried the Riff Raff/Mule set in it and they sound much better! However, I have some issues bonding with the Riff Raff bridge... Sometimes it sounds great, probably more often than not, and then I could not even dream about replacing it. But other times it sounds grainy and like there are some really strange things going on in the upper mid range. And believe it or not, there is actually a little bit too much bass sometimes as well..
After I sold my G0 a little more than a year ago I promised myself that I just have to get me a Rebel Yell again, hopefully soon! So what I am asking here, how do they compare? The Riff Raff is not too bright in this guitar, and I could easily have something with more treble and less bass. Due to the relatively high output nature of the Rebel Yell, is it problematic to have them close to the strings? The pickup rings are really tall on this guitar, and I would rather not have to replace them nor having the pickup underneath the ring. That would look really strange! I am considering just getting a RY set and putting whatever set that sound "the least good" in the R0, in the Epiphone. But I want to hear what you guys have to say first

What I need to know is how they compare when it comes to
- versatility
- tightness
- clean up ability
- overall tone
Thanks a lot in advane!
