Replacement for Nailbomb 7
« on: June 20, 2016, 10:47:21 PM »
Hi folks!

After much though, I've decided that the Nailbombs in my Skervesen Raptor 7 (white limba body, bolt on maple/walnut neck) aren't working out. In this guitar they feel like they're lacking body and sound a bit dry and bright for my liking. What I'm after is something a little bit smoother in the high end/upper mids with more punch in the low mids, while staying tight and clear. I was thinking the Juggernaut sounds right, but was wanting a second opinion before I drop the cash.

Thanks guys!

If I'm being honest, it is kinda telling me what I want to hear.

How do the A-Hawks compare to Juggernauts? I get the impression that the ceramics would be much brighter and more aggressive sounding, but don't hear the alnicos talked about so much.
