Best noiseless set for Strat?
« on: July 09, 2016, 03:43:30 PM »
I'm buying a Mexican Classic 50s Strat to add to my Strat collection and it may need to have its pickups upgraded, if only to put noiseless ones in.  I've put Seymour Duncan 'Everything Axe' pickups on a US Standard Strat and they sound great, but I fancy a change for this one.

What would be a good BK set?  I like the 'chime' of Strats but as a lead player (mostly) I always find the top two strings can sound weedy and lame, even after tilting the pickups - treble side up, bass down.  Is there a BK set that gives some body to the top strings?  Thanks.

Trilogy Suites will do it to a degree and Sinners certainly will but BKP sadly don't make noiseless pickups, which is why I use DiMarzios in mine.
BKP owned:

Bridge - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; A-Bomb; Holydiver; Miracle Man; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

Neck - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; Holydiver; Sinner; Trilogy Suite
