Hi,
Today finally got my Gotoh Floyd sorted, after whole set up ect, finally I started enjoying my Mayones Flame guitar with Miracle Man bridge, Sinner middle and Aftermath neck.
but...
Everything is fine until I start using whammy bar (not even extreme dive bombs just slight vibrato ect). After every time guitar goes out of tune. After dive bomb it goes down out of tune, after raising bar it goes up. Bridge does not come back to original position I suppose.

What is the reason for it? Bridge is new, locking nut is new ect. Springs are new (I put 3). Done the proper (I think) setup, but after every time it goes out of tune completely.

many thanks.

Hey Lucas,

That's weird man. I'd check a few this.

Make sure everything is tight, within reason obviously. But that any moving parts are secure.
Give those strings a good stretch, as if they haven't been properly stretched they'll go flat every time you use the floyd.

If it's none of this works let me know.

Yeah, that sounds as a bad set up. FRs are a pain at the beginning, but if adjusted properly, they should keep tuning no matter how agressively you use it (in a reasonable way, obviously).

When was the last time you changed strings? As daretofail puts it, when you change them you have to stretch them a lot all over the fingerboard till they settle down. I don't know if you did it, but I find it very important to make sure the stability of the tuning later, so I take a long time doing it everytime I change mine. After that, I just play chords and stuff to make all strings work together, and sometimes put the whammy bar down and up to help the strings adjust, with no locking nut caps and repeat again until the tuning is totally stable. It takes me a few hours but after all this process, I put the locking caps again and it usually keeps tuning until the next time I change strings with little or no fine tuning correction, even if I get crazy and use the whammy bar sometimes.

I hope it helped you, otherwise, just keep asking

It`s all sorted, many thanks guys!
Basically the problem was, that the guitar cavity wasn`t suitable for Gotoh bridge. First thing is that I had to do was 'custom' made strings locking screws because Gotoh ones were too long for Shaller cavity. Because of that bridge wasn`t sitting properly. Another thing was that the edge of scratch plate in studs area was causing problems as well. Had to make little cuts.
After that and after proper adjustment everything is working extremely fine. Gotoh bridge in Shaller cavity isn`t a good idea without some minor guitar adjustment.

Thanks again.,
