Warpig in 70's Fender Strat Live Band Mix
« on: September 05, 2016, 02:00:12 PM »
Hey guys, this is my first post in the BKP forum and I'm really blown away by the Warpig. I ordered it right before I was recording this some footage with my band:

It went straight into the bridge position of a 70's reissue Strat that me and my brother have been playing for some time. What a sound! I wanted a heavier more agressive tone but it needed to be warm as well so the strat doesn't get too annoying in the high frequencies. This live recording was a pleasure to mix and I just wanted to share it in case anyone is wondering if a warpig is good choice for a strat. My opinion is YES 100%. Huge new BKP fan here ;)

Really enjoyed the track! It's got some great hooks and the mix between the guitar, bass and drums had great clarity without losing any punch whatsoever.

will definitely keep the Warpig in mind when i eventually start my Strat project

Hey James thanks for your feedback I really appreciate it! Since guitar and bass were going direct through a kemper they were easy to handle and I didn't have to deal with the industrial hall creeping its way into every track ;) But it all starts with the source tones for me and the Warpig just made it so much easier to get the sound we were after. Would definitely recommend it for your strat project
