Rebel Yell in action in the form of my newly completed album...
« on: September 10, 2016, 06:20:14 PM »
Hi all.  I recently put the finishing touches on the forthcoming debut release of my "baby", Ghostbound.  In essence, this is the album I have been wanting to make for many, many moons.  I recently started a bandcamp page as a sort-of teaser for the release of the full-length.  I have included two songs -

www.ghostbound.bandcamp.com

"The Wildest of Rivers" - This features an ESP E-II Eclipse in standard tuning with a Rebel Yell in the bridge position and a Cold Sweat in the neck on the right channel, and a Custom-built Heritage H-555 Semi-Hollow with a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom in the bridge and a '59 on the left channel, and for all solos and atmospheric "center" guitars.  Both were played through an Orange Rockerverb 100 MKII combined with a VHT Deliverance for the distorted tones.

"(I Will) Keep My Dreams Inside" - This features my custom-built Monson Nomad in D-standard with a calibrated Rebel Yell set for all the guitar parts.  All clean guitars use the neck position, and all distorted parts use the bridge.  The VHT Deliverance was used for the clean guitars, and the Orange Rockerverb 100 MK II was used for the distorted tones.

While I have since sold the ESP E-II Eclipse, and gutted the Rebel Yells from the Monson (I currently have a VHII in the neck and a Nailbomb in the bridge), I think they served me well for this recording.  The Heritage is currently being outfitted with a set of Mules as I type this.

Let me know your thoughts!

Regards,
Alec
