Anyone tried Warpigs in an 8 String?
« on: September 22, 2016, 12:36:03 AM »
I'm back in the 8 string world with the excellent Jackson DKA8. I was thinking Juggs as I had them before in an Ibanez and they were excellent, but was wondering if anyone has tried a Warpig 8?

Thanks !

Can't speak in regards to the 8 , but I had a C-pig in a 6 string tuned to drop C and it slayed.  The C-pig is wicked TIGHT, I need to buy another C-pig down the road. Replaced it with a Painkiller and that slays even more.

I had a warpig 8 string a few years ago (when bkp first started making 8 string pickups), it sounded huge!! If it were me I would probably still go for a Jugg these days, because I think a jugg bridge would be more versatile whereas I can imagine that the pig might be a bit uncontrollable in some guitars. But my experience was all good with the pig8, and it was a massive sound with tons of bottom end and low mids, as you would imagine!
