Juggernaut neck vs Aftermath neck
« on: January 04, 2017, 09:47:51 PM »
Hi, just having quick question.
How does Juggernaut neck compare to Aftermath neck? What would be main difference? Tone, attack, feel ect?
I already have Aftermath neck model but wondering how it compares to Jugg.
many thanks

Isn't the Juggernaut neck just a hotter version of the VHII neck with double screws?

I've owned both a while back but in different guitars.

I've heard Misha say the Juggernaut neck is as similar to the VHII neck as possible whilst matching the output of the Juggeranut.  I don't know the technicalities (Someone from BKP said it's not just an overwound VHII neck)  but my ears also go along went along with what Misha said. It was like a VHII neck which ever so slighltly broke up quicker but not a lot by any means.
The design must be different but who cares in terms of sound it was like a hotter VHII neck....no doubt in my mind

The aftermath neck was incredible for hi gain shred type stuff.  Cleans were dark even in an alder super strat in standard tuning.

Aftermath neck is very warm but still extremely clear and fluid.  Aftermath neck should be considered more from the sole purpose of shred.  Quite round sounding which I didn't like for cleans but as I say really came into it's own for shred.
