Cold Sweat vs VH2 Neck Pickups

Generally, both the VH2 and Cold Sweat neck pickups are considered to be two of the best neck pickups that you can get but how do they compare? I know the the CS is considered to be more "modern" sounding but what exactly does that mean?

The VHII neck is a bit warmer whereas the CS neck has a top end that is a bit clearer.
