Will it come with 'ray gun' etching as standard? Or will it be an option?

Raygun etch is optional, as will be special purple and black zebras..........all standard options apply.

Oh man they sound fantastic!  8)  What a cool pair of clips!
Argh the gas, the gas! I'm already waking in the night thinking of Mississippi Queens!! What next? My heads already full of guitar ideas and I don't know what to do next

This forum needs a GAS Counciler!

HAHAHA! At first I thought you said something else other than "Waking", that is spelt almost the same... you can work it out     That would be an unhealthy obsession with BKPs! Anyway the tone on these tracks is awesome, wonder how itd sound in a strat.

No Tom I just can't seem top work it out! Perhaps you can enlighten us

Now now young man lets not go there on this thread as it was recorded by a top guitarist! Get back in yer dressing room!!

Hi Guys,
I'm glad i can demonstrate the Rebel Yell model pickup. There was nothing fancy used for the clip. Drums are a simple loop from Brutal Beats. The mic pre was Avalon, no heavy eq etc. Amp-18 watt Roccaforte combo http://www.roccaforteamps.com/index.htm. I am really proud to be a Bare Knuckle player. Tim has been great to deal with, even when i ordered my first set of Mules online (under the radar) just like any other punter. I know that Tim values each and every geetar player.
Thanks,
Steve Stevens

Hi Steve,  great clip, and fantastic shows at Brixton and Download that I was lucky enough to attend last year.

p.s. Is it true that you are writing some music for a Japanese sporting event, their world cup football team or something? And if so, when is it  released.
cheers
bub

First I have to say it's cool for a "celebrity" to post in such a forum. This might bring you new fans, because all the dudes here share your opinion: BKPs ROCK!!!

Re the drumloops, they remind me so much of  John Bonham ... I just  had to order them.

I have to say that these are really my favorite BK's along with Black Dogs and Apaches.  When I put them into the PRS they just lept out at me and with a small valve amp cranked there is instant second harmonic feedback (I was plugged into a Lexicon Signature 284 when I frist tried them).  I got mine in November so I am not sure if there has been any changes since then, but all I can say is that between Steve and Tim, they have really come up with one of the most versatile pickups I have ever played.  On the PRS 5 way switching, the split coil modes also give almost Fender like clean tones.

This is not to say that I don't like all the BK pickups - they all bring on the grin when you first hear them.  It's just that with these, they bring it on each and every time you hear them.  Mine are in an all mahogany PRS Standard from back in 1990, when they were all 24 neck/tremelo models.  So hearing Steve's clips from a Les Paul also shows me how well they work in different woods.

Once again, thanks very much to Steve and Tim for putting the work in to make a great soundning pickup.
So many pickups, so little time

I'm generally a PAF-turf sorta player... normally, anyway. I usually don't like anything over, say about 9k for a bridge pickup for example (and I'm a rock player). But these have my attention.

I know there are many variables in capturing an overall 'sound' (interesting to hear Steve used the Avalon pre...I've heard nothing but great reports about this unit- though I personally haven't used one in the studio yet); so to go back and listen to a track and pinpoint the pickups (or anything else, singularly) as the primary factor can be misleading. Too many vairables in engineering and production, etc.

That being said- a great overall tone is the right way to start out. I really like what I heard in these clips, and may well sequester one of my Gibbys for a BKP installation with the "Rebel Yell's"  just for grins.

Thanks for sharing, Steve. Very cool.

wow the heavy clip sounds way more heavy then I expected, the clips were both very cool. Now the ultimate test is to play then through a marshall!

Damn those were nice. Is anyone else starting to find that they want to buy more guitars just to put more BKs in them?

IŽM PRETTY SURE ABOUT THAT
thats what (for the second time) just happened to me right now
iŽll be buying another guitar, and then, iŽll start the bare knuckle shop
tim, mr pig and all on the forum must be $%&#ing pissed of with all my unholy and intrincated(without counting the bad english translations) question about bkp tones.
Anyway, i guess my big gap/big wait will reward me in the and, cause iŽll be able to precisally choose all bkps for ALL my guitars.. cause, iŽll swap SOME pickups on my new guitars to know THEIR tone MORE. so, it will be an unholy amazing tonal process of knowledge!
ahahahahahahaah!!!!
iŽll have 4 guitars! 4 bkps.
although my fender is matching the duncans - C5/Jazz neck pretty well through a marshall valvestate 100(iŽm producing a death/thrash metal band from my city, iŽll be posting the record results as soon as possible), iŽm pretty sure a set of Unholy Mules, OR Nailblastingbombs will be required to fulfill My unholy "PAF MEETING Nasal fender building construction and sound " Tone!!!
