StewMac E-model Megaswitch terminology confuddlement! >_<
« on: April 16, 2017, 10:15:03 PM »
Hey guys!

I'm taking the three-way blade switch and EMGs out of my new Ibanez and replacing them with the StewMac E-model five-way Megaswitch and a set of BKP Nailbombs (4 con).
Going for 2 x Humbucker combo #1 which is:
1 - Bridge full 'bucker
2 - Bridge screws
3 - Bridge screws and Neck screws
4 - Neck screws
5 - Neck full 'bucker

However, reading the wiring instructions for the new switch, it says to solder "bridge humbucker series link" to terminal 4. Which wire is the series link?

Also when they refer to the humbucker "hot wire", do they mean the start of the screw coil? So the black wire, not the white wire?

Cheers in advance for any help!

The series link is the white & green wire and the hot is the red for BK's.
So many pickups, so little time
