Who are some distributors in UK for Engl heads?

Just so I can figure what kinda "bank job" I need to do to afford one of these :)

www.synergydistribution.co.uk

alternatively, just ask me what model you're after and i can give you the rough rrp and what you should be trying to get it down to for the street price.

EDIT: ooh, the se- rrp is £2699, and my local shop quoted me £2300, and they'd throw in the MIDI footswitch for nothing.

If you order from someone like beyers in germany, you can get it for around £2000, but you'd have to pay for the footswitch (between £100 and £150). And you'd need to get a UK lead (£10?)

Oohh, and there's a new Invader coming out- it's going to be a similar price to a Savage, as far as I can tell, so around £1400 or so.

Hey Dave, yeah looked at the distributor site but no prices.
Hmm,,, germany trip when settled back in UK maybe :)
Dunno, wondered on street price as could'nt google it anywhere is all :(

Saw the new one, kinda like the layout and write up have seen on one posted though :)
Prolly dreaming though due to cost vs. use. I.E. really only "need" a combo :)

just try it out in the UK and then order it from germany, lol.

If you email synergy, they'll send you a price list- that'll only be RRP though...

^have you tried one?

I tried the 6L6 one, and it was awesome.

And the el34 one is meant to sound even better, and has blue lights.

:D

Haha, yeah, i suffer badly from "grass is greener" syndrome- mine has red lights, hence blue lights are the coolest thing in the world to me.

If I got blue lights, I'd probably then want green... :(

I apologise for being off topic.

With easter coming up it may be worth a visit, if I had a car back with me I would head down myself.

Theres a guitar shop in the main street in Blackrock that carries a lot of secondhand stuff (reminds me of secondhand shops in the early 80s).

Lots of some new stuff but lots of old stuff, like watkins rapiers, shergold 12 strings, 60s & 70s Ibanezs etc.

Also stuff like old Copycats, Space Echos and they even had two (faulty) binson echorecs, which where to be sent off to a collector in the states.

They often have old marshall, HH and Wem amps too.

Their prices can be highly variable too (looking 70 euros for a broken Tone bender late 60s vintage), unfortunitely it was beyond salvaging

Normal service is now resumed.

Rob...
