PRS HFS/Vintage Bass equivalent?
« on: July 02, 2017, 04:33:44 PM »
Hi,

I recently played a PRS that was loaded with hfs/vintage bass and really liked how they "sound".

They didn't have all the dynamics and clarity you'd expect from BKP.

What BKPs would get close (be in a ballark - HD to SD jb) to  that kinda pickup?

I'm assuming c-bomb for hfs because dcr is in the ballpark, has ceramic magnet and similar EQ chart. I could be completely wrong of couse.

Something like Vh2 for the neck would work I guess, or cold sweat maybe?

yes, probably the c-bomb paired with the vhII neck should get you in the ballpark
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat
