After being left silent for 5 years, since the birth of my first boy, right after screwing up the wiring of my brand new (at the time) set of Mississippi Queen, my Epi LP has finally come alive. And that is beautiful!
I have tuned this guitar in open C, and when I finally get my hands on my slide. But just noodling around the neck and playing the intro and main rhythm of Pretty Noose from Soundgarden was magical. I am actually short on words just now to describe the tone but it felt very good.
Good range of clean and grit playing with the guitar volume. No bad sound playing with the tone knob. I ended up settling on about 4 for both pups as my favourite spot.
I'll play it some more (obviously) and try to give a wee bit more descriptive account.
