Almost ready to build, would appreciate help.
« on: October 05, 2017, 05:59:27 PM »
Hey,

I bought a Ceramic Nailbomb and an AlNiCo coldsweat back in February and have gotten super sidetracked installing them. I finally bought a soldering iron and plan on installing them this weekend. this is my guitar and I was planning on using this wiring diagram. I have a few questions.

  • I bought a drop-in kit from a PRS vendor that has 1 push/pull but I would need to desolder and install the other one. The push/pull has two caps on it and I am very unsure about what mF/material capacitors I should add to the new one.
  • I still need to buy solder and wire. A recommendation of a good vendor in the US would be helpful. Also a few forums mention using pure silver wire, I can't find anywhere that sells the stuff. Is copper fine?
  • Lastly the pickups have been sitting for a while in their boxes, the temp/humidity has been pretty stable but I am still a little worried. Any insight?

Thanks for your considerations
