NGD x 2
« on: October 23, 2017, 12:10:08 PM »
Not a day so much as a six months! I got the first of these a while back, and kind of fell into the second one, although I had been hoping for it. First, a Gibson Les Paul Axcess Alex Lifeson.

It has a graphtec Floyd Rose with piezo saddles. It has two output jacks, which as standard are a blended one and a separate piezo one. Ive had it modded so there is no blending, they are separate magnetic and piezo outs.  Standard axcess guitars are weight relieved, but the lifeson is solid, and you can hear the difference, as well as feel it, it’s more “les paully”, if that makes sense. The acoustic sounds are also very good.  It’s a great guitar.

Second is a standard axcess in iced tea.

This one was modded by the previous owner, one tone done away with and pickup switching moved to the new switch.. The old one is still there, but isn’t connected to anything! This one is weight relieved, and it is a light guitar. It has a lighter, airier sound, although that’s lost in the bridge pickup, which has been replaced with a Hugh output aftermarket humbucker.
I’m thinking of putting either a mule or VHII in there, and possibly a sustainiac in the neck.  It’s also a fantastic guitar, but it’s amazing how different the two are

They're gorgeous, aren't they?  :)  I can imagine you enjoying the Piezo Floyd Rose.  Graphtec do a Hex board for it too, for connecting up to synths, though I'm not sure how it would fit into this guitar along with the acoustic preamp

Obvious nice guitars, just I don't like Floyds on a Les Paul. Main thing is you're happy. ;-)
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
