Sinner?
« on: November 01, 2017, 05:07:10 PM »
Hey, guys! Newbie here.

I've got a G&L Legacy Strat, pulled the stock bridge pup out and replaced with a Duncan Little Screamin' Demon.  I'm wanting a different middle pup right now. I usually keep the middle one down flush with the guard so it's out of the way when I pick, and I thought about a Duncan Quarter Pound, but then someone suggested a Sinner since it's also pretty high output for a single coil.  Would this be a good match to the Little Demon?

Also, if I do go for the Sinner, should I get RW/RP?  Right now, the stock middle pup is out of phase with the bridge, but I don't really use the 1+2 position anyway.  And when using the middle alone, it's considerably lower output.  Thanks for any help.

I would go with a Trilogy, since its a little brighter.

I love the Sinner bridge, but I do prefer the Trilogy for the other positions.

Will the Trilogy work well lowered without being too much of a drop it output?   I was thinking higher output would blend better and not be as much of a mismatch compared to the bridge or neck.

I believe you'll be fine. The trilogy keeps up with a hot bridhe humbucker no problem.

The sinner mid/neck is dark and more compressed, but I don't think it has much more output.

Just my opinion of course.

Cool. Thanks. I'll have to look into it.
