Pickup suggestions

I'll keep this short...

I've been interested in BKP for awhile now and now I think it's time to give them a whirl!

I play an Agile AL627 Les Paul Baritone and play mostly Post-Rock/Metal, Ambient, etc. etc. (think bands like, ISIS, Neurosis, Mogwai, Melvins, Godflesh, Shrinebuilder, etc.) So I switch between really clean ambient to dirty, gritty type of gain to SUPER BALLS TO THE WALL gain for really heavy parts. I tune to Open B, so there is also a lot of chords and passages I use with open strings ringing out when I'm not chugging away. I'm just looking for a little of both worlds as far as tone if any of this makes sense.

Currently I have a stock Ceramic Humbucker in the bridge (which is surprisingly decent) and a Alnico 5 Humbucker from an Epiphone Firebird in the neck. I like the combination of the 2 magnets and what I'm getting at with the sound, buts it's not quite there yet.

If anyone has any suggestions based on the description I gave, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for your suggestion. I've looked into the nail bomb before, along with the Miracle Man and Warpig. My only concern is that if I were to go with a really high output ceramic pickup, things would sound too "shrill"and "razory" in the high end, which I want to avoid. I love good high end but when it's a mid scooped and "ice picky" tone, personally, it's intolerable.  I will take your suggestion into consideration regardless. I just wanted to add a little bit more to my post about the sounds I'm going for and the sounds I'm  trying to avoid

well it sounded pretty smooth for a ceramic pickup in my les paul custom
it was very aggressive but had a more "forgiving" kind of compression than the cold sweat, miracle man, aftermath and even the alnico nailbomb in the same guitar
definitely not shrill or ice picky
not my type of tone, but it sounds closer to those bands than the other models
maybe the new ragnarok might work too

If you`re thinking about Miracle Man and CBomb, I have both.

Totally agree with Ceramic Nailbomb as long as you don`t play loads of leads on the bridge pickup. Cbomb is an amazing rhythm pickup for hard/heavy rock and some metal (but not modern technical complex riffing though), it really shines with heavy rock riffing, it has amazingly good cleans for ceramic magnet

Miracle Man is smoother, darker, thick and chewy with amazing lead tone, whereas CBomb steer more into aggressive heavy rock territory, Miracle Man is more metal pickup, but not an insane flamethrowing brutal thing. Both of them are not super modern sounding either. I still find MM more versatile though. MM has unfortunately worse cleans than CBomb.

although I like the miracle man a lot better, specially for leads, I disagree about it being overall smoother, and also about the cleans
the c-bomb was the only ceramic bkp I played that delivered something close to other brands amount of compression, but without the muddiness
the miracle man has a better clean sound the c-bomb, in my opinion, specially in split mode
I agree about the c-bomb not being among the best for leads, though

So I'm definitely leaning towards a CBomb.

 I do leads but hardly on the bridge pickup itself. Mostly, I have the pickup selector in the middle or neck posistion. Same with cleans. For grittier tones I almost always use the middle position so I get both the magnets going at once and get the best of both worlds, if I'm not mistaking.
If the CBomb will make big open chords and low growling power chords sound monsterous I'm all for it. I don't really need something for this particular guitar to have that "modern metal" choppy Djent type of sound. I've got a 7 and 8 string that I retired a couple years ago for that sound if I need it, I guess. I'm just kind of "over it" with that sound and style. It doesn't do much of anything for me anymore.


So I'm probably going to go with a CBomb but I'm still open for more suggestions :)
