RWRP vs Stock - tonal difference.
« on: November 17, 2017, 12:55:35 AM »
I think this topic can be quite useful for those who (like me) are in situation "Buy or not to buy"  ...
... so is there any tonal difference:

- does reverse magnetic field of middle pickup affect tone in 1 or 5 position (strat)
- does really RWRP makes 2 and 3 pos. sound thicker but less "quackier"

... from the Bare Knuckle RWRP tutorial on youtube I can actually tell the difference.

From my limited not being able to directly compare apples with apples, but based off my Nitefly I got non-RWRP and that BKP video, I reckon yes. But mine's an HSS guitar so if I used bridge and middle together a lot with a higher amount of gain instead of the HB, I'm not sure I'd do it based on the additional noise.

There's a certain extra magic I reckon, but as I say, not apples to apples comparison with the 2 non-RWRP Mothers Milks in swamp ash compared to the RWRP Irish tours in a mahogany, and if you use them with higher gain then...
