Cold sweat vs. VH2 neck pickup

I've had both and prefer the CS. There's nothing wrong with the VH2 neck, just that in my Fender Showmaster basswood superstrat, the CS neck just seems to "sing" in a way that the VH2 never did.

I just think most people combine just these two with high output pickups ;). How is nailbomb neck if anyone has any experience?

I love my Nail Bomb neck. It has a unique "woody" character (ie. clear and fairly bright without being chimey) that I am unable to get from any other pickup. I've currently got my A Bomb set in an ESP Eclipse, which is quite a bright guitar - possibly too bright for the A Bomb bridge, but it's in there mainly for the neck pickup which in that guitar is great for all those clean, Cure type, guitar parts. In a warmer guitar, where the bridge pickup is more at home (Fender Tele FMT - chambered mahogany body with mahogany set-neck), the neck pickup also becomes very good for high gain leads.

So essentially, as seems to often be the case with Bare Knuckles, the flavour of the pickup can vary enormously depending on what guitar you put it in.

The differences have been described well. As regards textures: I had the VHII neck in three different guitars, and in one guitar - even though it was clear and articulate - it had a slightly smokiness to it. This is something I never heard in the CS neck. However, the CS neck was too bassy in one guitar, which I never experienced with the VHII. Both are fine pickups, and I still have both.
