The customer service is really amazing !
I have already received an answer.

Here is the answer :

"Ok, so the Yamahas might be slightly thicker?
I still say Riff Raffs based on what you've told me.
But if you prefer the tone of another set then go for what pickups you want.

Kind Regards,

Ben French"

I keep hesitating between the three sets (RR-VHII-CS) and I promised myself to place my order on Saturday at the latest !

I would tend to go with Ericsabbath's recommendation of the VHII set
It has the bonus of that darker neck pickup sound that you seem to like.

Another Specials Thanks Dave Sloven !
Are you Guitar Tech ? You should !

Whichever set you go for make sure you get long legs.  They are a must on an SG with pickguard mounted pickups (batwing pickguard).

53mm is probably your best bet.  My 2011 498T was 53mm. The TonePros replacement Nashville bridges are all 53mm if you buy them pre-notched.  Obviously if you ever fit a Floyd Rose FRX they are 53mm too.

I have not owned the other two sets.  I can say that I was always very happy with the Cold Sweat bridge in my SG.  I did feel that I might have liked a different neck pickup though, maybe an Emerald.  I fitted an Emerald set to a friend's Les Paul and really liked the tone.  I wouldn't fit an Emerald bridge to an SG though.

This isn't really a recommendation for "Punk & Post Punk Tone" , but a ceramic nailbomb in an SG is absolute KILLER. I have them in my SG and it's seriously one of the most beautiful things i've ever experienced.

What "Sound Territory" do you cover with this Nailbomb's Set ?

Special Thanks Dave Sloven. Again.

You think the Ceramic Bridge Cold Sweat is comparable to Ceramic Gibson 500T ?

I don't think it is as hot and compressed as the 500T.  By all accounts the closest BKP to the 500T is the ceramic Nailbomb.

Cold Sweat & Abraxis comparison video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMXAwaYcJRQ

The Abraxas is warmer and fatter, the Cold Sweat has more cut with distortion.

A-Bomb vs Cold Sweat vs SD Black Winter:

The Cold Sweat is more 'civilized' sounding than the other two in high-gain settings (comments are all in Brazilian Portuguese)

If I understand correctly Ceramic Nailbombs boxing in the category of Ceramic SD's Invaders ?
Like the first Metallica's sound (Before EMG's sound).

Nailbomb are such pissed off pickups.

Probably not getting woman tone from there.

Warpig is closer to invader in terms of low mid focus and smoother highs.  I heard a comparison between warpig and invader.  Invader is more wooly and saturated while warpig is more clear and articulate.

I can get great punk toned with a MB Electra Dyne and A-bomb loaded LP.  I suspect less mids in a C-bomb would take nicely to an SG but I cannot comment on the versatility of such a set up.

I really appreciate the "Woman Tone".

But it's obvious that it's not the sound I'm going to use the most in my Punk-Crossover Band.

For example, I enjoy Andy Cairns' sound of Therapy?.
To my knowledge he uses a 500T straight in JCM900.

Besides the punk tones, those are really those sounds that I want to approach with this SG :
The first tones of Metallica or Slayer, the tone of Body Count, Bad Brains's tone or that of Andy Cairns.

While still playing Punk Old School like The Damned.

My Guitar Tech recommends me to find pickups loaded High Midrange and Treble to compensate for the dark side of the mahogany of the SG.

Again thank you all for your advice to find the right set for the right guitar!

Oh dear, woman tone and Nailbombs...

I gave up the idea of nailing the" Woman Tone".

I want to limit this SG to my Punk Crossover band (Bad Brains, Therapy? Body Count and early Bay Area's tone)
So I need a set of BKP just covering this tone.

ThX All !

Has your tech ever heard your SG?  All of the ones I've ever heard have been bright, middy, and lacking in bottom end.  Even with Warpigs.
