Constant white noise
« on: December 16, 2017, 09:28:44 PM »
I plugged in my MQs equipped LP in my Tweaker head + Jettenuator + Iconoclast + Headphone and was greeted with a loud white-like noise, almost as loud as the signal when I started playing. Of all my guitars, this is the one that tends to create some background noises, but this had never been anywhere near this kind of level before.

I had this guitar's wiring fixed at the end of the summer as it had remained silent ever since I fitted the P90s. The tech who did the work said that the pots were a bit degraded, possibly due to low temperature soldering, which I have done in the past as I thought too much heat on the pots was an issue. Could it be that one of the pot is dead?
