'slug coil' on blade and double screw pickups
« on: April 21, 2018, 08:20:27 AM »
How do you tell which is the slug coil on blade and double screw BKPs?

I ask this because I am looking into a coil split on a Black Hawk neck pickup and want the active coil to be the one closest to the neck, which on a more conventional pickup would be the coil with screws.  It's possible that I could achieve this by rotating the pickup, but how do I know which way is normal?
