PC Builders - Urgent Help Needed

I'm planning on getting this motherboard:

and a Serial ATA hard drive to go with it. Am I right in thinking this will still be backwards compatible with the older type IDE connections, enabling me to use this DVD drive with the motherboard?

This PC's about to die soon, it's hit and miss whether it loads up or not (most of the time the internal speaker just makes fire engine sounds), so I need to get these parts bought ASAP.

Nevermind, I've found out they're compatible.

I might not be on for a while due to these PC issues, I'm lucky I'm online now at all actually.
