NEW KEELY 4-KNOB COMPRESSOR
« on: April 15, 2006, 07:05:17 PM »
HI,

very lon time with no posting, so here goes...

Saw it, bought, broke bank (only coz im a bit poor). I popped into sounds great (cheadle NW UK) last week looking for a compressor to replace my Jacques fat burner pedal. I took along my USA Strat with IT's, plugged into the compressor, a DSL 50 head (same as mine) and into a krank cab. damn it blew me away, huge sound, loads of sutain, great control over attack and balance. Of course, the £875 krank cab may have helped, so to give this pedal a fighting chance, i bought it, stuck it first on my pedal board and was off to band practise.

Wow, it was just blinding! a quick tweak of the newly added level and trim knobs, as well as the sustain and attack knobs and it sounded completely different. Very clear and distintive. Beautiful liquid tone. ohh, and the distortion, ooohhhhhhhhhhhhh, like a barrage of monkeys killing tiny ants, ok, not the best similie, but u get the idea  :?

So yeah, it was amazing, i know these are limited edition so has any one else been lucky enough to purchase on?

Cheers

joe

I love my regular Keeley compressor... nice sound... I bet this other one is at least as nice.

I've got a couple of their pedals and they're great, the compressor is on my "to buy" list.  :D

I've just had to pass on the Analogman compressor as I'm skint. I've been on the waiting list but can't afford it :-(
