A few self builds, all with Blue Note 90s
« on: August 20, 2018, 09:19:29 AM »
Greetings all. I've made a few electrics over the last few years as a bit of a hobby. This is the first one I made...

This is the second - it's a cross between a Fender and a Bigsby I think...

This is the most recent - a TV yellow mahogany set neck - a kind of magnatone/Les Paul Junior cross...

What youthink?

Just a question;  what does the mini toggle on the first guitar do?

It's a bypass switch - its superb, it effectively makes it a two pickup guitar. Set to "bypass" the pickup goes straight to the jack and the treble jumps through the roof - like a bridge pickup. The only issue I had was finding a good enough quality silent switch.

They look like vintage electric parlour guitars. Anyway, anyone who can build a guitar has my immediate appreciation.

Ah, excellent idea!  I have a Patrick Eggle Strat type guitar with a blower switch that bypasses all the wiring and connects the bridge pickup stright to the jack.  It is a bit like having a light boost pedal built in!
