Custom opitons from BK?

So, well.. i've decided to get a BK pickup as soon as i get my new guitar. I've decided on a VH2, which will go in the brigde position.

Though, i'm wondering if it's possible to get double rows of screw-polepieces? I know that this would make the pickup "custom", but i'd like to know if Tim could do it, and for how much money?

What exactly DOES two rows of screw polepieces do for you??? That's my question... I never really understood that.

You can adjust the height of each pole to match the arch in the string actions. If you look down your neck, you should see an arch in your strings, which should also try and match the arch of your frets also. More balanced output. Or you can purposely not match them to change the sound.

They looks cool, basically :P most modern guitars have a pretty flat 'board, so staggering the polepieces ain't really necessary. looks rocken tho...

I was gonna get double screw poles on my Mules but Tim said it'll bring up the bass alot, I thought it'd make it sound clearer for some reason  :( He can do it though if you want it..

I think it would add more bass aswell?

I asked Tim about getting two rows on a Nailbomb and he told me it would make it too bassy muddy. I might be on about different thing tho (maybe Allen bolts  )

Yeah, it increases bass.

The second set of screw poles increases the signal that the pickup gets from further toward the neck on the string. Vibrations are wider and basser there, so it gives more bass.

I chose it for that, and to be able to EQ the pickup to some extent, generally and by indiviual string. I've had great success doing that with the warpig (12 screws by default) and my custom MM.

Not a hint of mud from either, too. I think Tims being either modest or advising cautiously there? Best way, really, but my experience of it great. The miracle man w/ double screws in particular has a huge low end, more than the pig by quite a bit, but just as clear a high end as my standard (albeit covered) MM.

Yes it does increase bottom end...............some designs will take it, others not.Ask if you want something like that and I'll let you know if it's possible.

Tim, what about a Warpig, covered, but with only a single row of screw poles? possible? what effect would that have?
