Am about to get some new pickups for my Les Paul and i was thinking of a Black Dog in the Bridge and a Mississippi Queen in the Neck.

I just wondered if anybody had used a combination like this and how it sounded.

Well, the MQ in the neck is AMAZING! And I know that Tim makes one to match the Black Dog. I also know the BD is amazing, too.

I think that would be a superb combination!!!

We've sold alot of combo like this, Mule/MQ, Nailbomb/MQ, Stormy Monday/MQ....all reports back have been good.We've also done the MQ as a Tele neck too........balances really well.

The tremonti SE is SO light!

But thats all i know of it realy :lol:

A hell of a lot lighter than the Les Paul for starters.
Apart from that it's amazing, cept for the usual problem with the controls crackling, but you get that on all SEs when you first buy them anyway.

Headstock is still the best looking in the world too :D

Just about anything really, atm a lot of Led Zep - hence the Black Dog - but i also play some Slash stuff, Muse, Santana, The Who, Eagles, Rory Gallagher and Jimi Hendrix and the like. (So basically everything)

I have a MQ neck Mule bridge and it is an awesome combo - the MQ doesn't have problems with the Mule's output. A BD/MQ would really give you a great tonal range.

I was after one of those colour ones aswell before I got my LP Custom.. Never got to see one in person though.
