Recording/Mixing help needed!

I've been getting some very good results lately with a Behringer B1, small condensor mic.

You'll need phantom power though.

I have found it to be a very good all rounder mic. Good results on guitar combo mic'ing (though I am a bit scared of high levels wrecking it!!!) and also a really ncie rounded vocal sound.

For my bands last CD we used a Audio Technica AT3035 large diaphram mic for the lead vocals and the singer we had then was awesome and that mic really did him justice, but I have been recording myself a bit and it doesn't do me any favours at all! The Behringer really works better for my voice.

It's like everyhting in recording though, there is no right and wrong, just like and dislike.... trial and error!!
