Our first gig.
« on: April 23, 2006, 10:52:47 AM »
Last night we played our first gig with the rockabilly band. We only have about one hour of music because we've only just begun. We were supposed to play 2 half hour sets but that got cancelled. So we played everything three times. Only a hand full of people but most of them are in somekind of music thing. Some own a bar and some organise festivals etc.

They pretty much stood in line to book us. It's going to be a busy summer and autumn.

The gig went well. Too bad my Dean is undergoing repairs so I had to rely on my Reverend Wolfman. It did a fantastic job, though. It's tele-ish vibe sounded good and the tuning stability is unbelievable. I did break a string but I had that changed in two minutes.

Congrats Ratty. Getting a new band up and running is tough. I hope you are as busy as you want to be.

Yep, it's a Reverend. It has a set of Revtron Pickups. Great sounding axe but I still think I should have them rewound for even more growl and twang.

It's amazing that bass can support our bass player. The thing looks really flimsy. As soon as he gets something like a King or Norton bass, we can all stand on the bass.

Too bad there isn't a pic of me jumping off the stage, into the dancing 'crowd' during my solo on 'Wiggle Stick'.
