BKP Juggernauts sounding flubby!

I'm getting a set of Juggs to go in an EC-50 guitar!! I hope they don't sound flubby in mine! I'm using thick-ass strings, 12-56's in drop c/b/a# tuning so I hope they chug and stay tight.

Replacing the pots as well to the BKP 550k ones, have put a new nut on and an aluminium tailpiece which has improved the stock pickup sound a bit. Looking forward to getting these in and having a good chug.

I am trying a 1 meg volume pot with a 500k tone pot right now.  This is a locking trem equipped guitar.  Schaller bridge with a large, after market brass block.

The guitar is quite warm to begin with and not overly bright because of the hardware.  It definitely sounds like a blanket has been taken off of the top end.
My RG7421 has been upgraded with a TUSQ nut and hipshot FP bridge.
The RG -as of now- is still brighter with a 550k volume pot and a 500k tone pot.  I wouldn't want to put a 1 meg volume pot in this guitar...

The oversize brass block would have warmed up the sound a lot.

The stock brass block was very zingy and almost offensively upper mid dominant.

The cr@ppy pot metal nut really sucked up a lot of highs.  The guitar is really where it needs to be now.  The dead strings sounded like new strings.  Now it has new strings on it...
