Hey all,
First off I would like to thank you all for the replies I got when I asked about a pickup for my charvel model 6. I decided that I'm gonna order a Nailbomb bridge humbucker for it soon :) Anyhow, I have a new dillema...
I have a gibson les paul studio lite. I bought it 2nd hand, and the guy that sold it to the shop before I bought it, put Gibson 500 T's in it (I know there's a dude from that same shop on these forums, shops called Dirk Witte).
Just yesterday I got asked to join a bluesrockcore (kind of bluesrock crossed with some metalcore >_> But I'm looking for a rock sound in my LP) and played with them, and I got hired immediatly, and I'm looking very forward to playing with that band. I will be using my les paul 9/10 times for it, so now I want a sound that can match that band a bit more.
I've been thinking of a few pickups other than bareknuckle's aswell. Namely the Duncan JB, Duncan Custom, Bareknuckle Miracle Man and that's about all I know of rock pickups. I want something that has treble and mids to it, gives me a dirty rock sound, but I don't want it to be overly bright because I hate that. I will be soloing a lot and I like a bit of a smoother sound for the solo's, but like I said not to smooth, I like an edge to it.
So after this loooong story, has anyone thought of something?
EDIT: Before I forget, the 500 T's have to much output for me. I want something with more crunch and less harshness
