Nailbomb Ceramic vs Alnico V...?
« on: August 19, 2021, 04:48:18 AM »
Ok.  I have a Schecter Reaper 6.  Ash body with a maple set neck and ebony board.  I'm tuned to drop C#.  I have tried the alnico v Nailbomb in the guitar, and the mids are just a bit to far forward.  I love how the pickup hits my amp, but the mid range push is not doing it for me.  Would the ceramic version bring some of the mids back in the mix a bit?

I have also tried a Holy Diver in the guitar, and though I did like the overall tone, I was left wanting the pickup to hit the amp harder.  It just didn't feel like a high output pickup under the fingers.

It would, the C-Bomb is scooped by comparison with the A-Bomb.

Also check out the Impulse set.  I have had great results with this in Schecters, mahogany set-neck and swamp ash body bolt-on maple neck, the alnico Black Hawk too.

the ceramic nailbomb has a flatter response but it's not really a huge difference in my experience

I think you might be safer with a cold sweat

C-bomb or Juggernaut should fix it.
