Gibson Les Paul Custom

Greetings!
 I would like to ask for an advice and help with the Gibson LP Custom. Now installed Rebel Yell set, but I cannot handle it -  it is really bright, lack of bottom end, and volume and tone knob are at 4. If I increase the volume, the pickups are almost out of control. I play via Kemper with headphones (small child and neighbours) . So definitely I need/have to replace the RYs with something with more "balls", little bit more mids.

I was thinking of Holydivers ( I have them in one of my Mayones), so I can move them into Gibon. But if that, what to install in the Mayones (Setius)? In the other Setius, I have Silos. Something little bit more aggressive :Black Hawk, Juggernauts?

May you help me with the Gibson? Should I try Holy Divers or something else? I am not in the vintage sounds at all, more modern, after 90s is goal. Open to suggestions.

Alnico Black Hawk seems like most likely to solve your various issues and fit your tastes.

the rebel yell is a firebreather, in a good way for me
it has a ton of attack in the mids, though, but I suppose you actually want more body and a rounder top

how about moving the silos instead?

Silos is also a choice. I like them a lot.

But what to install on their place is the question?

Black Hawk should sound like active with the dinamic of passive humbuckers. I had once Fishmans modern and didn’t like them. Perhaps BH are different. Anyway, need a new set for Mayones :)

Black Hawks have their own thing going.  Maybe the ceramic bridge sounds like a EMG.  The other two (neck and the alnico version of the bridge) don't

Impulse is a lot like the Rebel Yell and Cold Sweat so I wouldn't recommend that, based on your comments

I will dig the AlNiCo Black Hawk, sounds like a challenge.

But, what about albico Warpig ot Juggernaut , how they compare to HDs or Silos? I have only listened some Youtube videos, never tried them

Strange business! The RY set is perfect for me in my S2 Singlecut. I love that the bottom end is not too pronounced - tight and punchy and sits great in a mix. What do you mean about them being 'out of control'?

+1 - the importance of sitting well inthe mix cannot be stressed enough.

My most used set is the HSS with Slow hands on the neck/middle and black dog in the bridge.

I do like the Irish Tour SSS as well, which is what I use on my traditional strat.

Nailbomb is a great third set for me and True Grit humbucker being #4.

What amp profiles are you usually using ? Have you tried adjusting the ‘dist sens’ control on the input section of the kemper? The rebel yell is indeed a bright pickup but it’s not supet hot, so it shouldn’t be too out of control.

Btw I had great results using the rebel yell with some of the profiles from choptones. Their mesa dual-rec Rev.G 6L6 is currently my favorite along with tone king imperial for cleans and crunch sound. Their friedman smallbox, mesa jp2c and carvin legacy are pretty good too.
