Boot Camp Brute Force strat neck compare with Trilogy neck
« on: December 06, 2021, 11:46:59 PM »
In the Fender Cyclone, I had upgraded the bridge pickup to the Brute Force humbucker. It seemed clear to me the Brute Force strat would be the right thing for the neck and I didn’t bother asking any advice about it.

I was expecting it to be rather similar to a trilogy neck considering the specs, but this is in fact not the case as the two clearly sound different. The Trilogy is thicker sounding with more low end. The Brute Force is a little thinner and more sparkly. They are pretty much as hot as each other though. They both sound good clean, but I preferred the Brute Force.

I felt the Trilogy went better with the brute force humbucker in the bridge, so I did a little pickup swap with my Cyclones and put the Trilogy with the BF HB and the BF strat with a Cold Sweat.

you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly
