Silo magnet swap

Hey everyone, wondering if anyone here has tried a ceramic magnet in a Silo bridge. I genuinely love the sound of my Silo, but I often wish sometimes that it was a bit brighter, with a bit more attack.
When I hear comparisons between say the A-bomb and C-bomb, or the A-pig and C-pig, the enhanced highs and slightly more compressed midrange is what I’d like to hear, but out of the Silo.
I know the Silo wasn’t made with a ceramic magnet in mind, but whatever I like to tinker lol.
So yeah if anyone has tried it, please chime in, and if not can anyone tell me the dimensions of the magnets that BKP uses?
I know I could just take it apart and check but if anyone knows off hand that would be awesome.

That makes sense, I actually never thought about that. Either way I think I’m going to try it out, why not right?
Do you by chance know the dimensions for the magnets they use?

The Silo bridge would be a great candidate for a ceramic magnet! I'd recommend using a standard height 62mm ceramic, checking against the stock magnet to make sure you've got it the right way up (else it'll sound out of phase when combined with the neck pickup).

Dave, this isn't true I'm afraid. The Silo shares little in common with the Warpig apart from having dual rows of screws. Different wire gauge, different wind, asymmetrical vs symmetrical.
The only other humbucker in the BKP range that uses the same wire gauge as the Silo bridge is the Holy Diver bridge, but again they have different winds/offsets and pole pieces too.

Great, yeah it'd be good to clear that misconception up. I assume because Rabea was known for using the Warpig beforehand.

I noticed you said this recently on another forum, so since you reiterate it here I'll ask out of curiosity. The last time I shared correspondence with Tim on the matter, he noted the Painkiller was 44awg too. However, this was over 10 years ago. Did this one slip your mind? Or is the Painkiller in fact not 44awg afterall? Or (least likely I'd warrant) has the gauge changed in the interim?

That is a fantastic point, I stand corrected! To be honest the Painkiller had totally slipped my mind! For some reason I had in my memory conversations with Tim where he echoed that the Holy Diver was the only 44AWG pickup in the range, but I must be wrong about that. It's all good my dude, I just wanted to make sure my info was still up to date and correct. I have an inlking the Brute Force is probably 44 too but that is pure speculation on my part.

I’m pretty sure the BF is a 43AWG wind, but I could be wrong
