Acoustic Guitar Finish
« on: May 08, 2006, 08:03:11 PM »
Hi All,

I have a 1981 Hondo acoustic guitar and I love its sound.  Back when I got the guitar I put some stickers on it and the other day decided to take them off for that "I've grown up look"...lol
Anyway, seems the guitar aged in color but the parts that were covered by the stickers did not.  Any opinions on what I  can do to get it back to looking ALL new?  thanks

There's really nothing you can do short of a refinish, and even then it is likely the wood is affected so would have to be bleached to try and even up the colour. However, the good news is that you just have to give it time. In a few years exposure to light and UV you won't notice where the stickers were.
Just 'cos you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you
