So I have this lovely Ibanez Prestige RG (ash body, maple/walnut neck, an ebony board and an Evertune bridge).  I've been swapping pickups in and out of it since I got it trying to find some that match the guitar and make me smile EVERY time I play it.  The closest I've found are what's in the guitar now, a DiMarzio Imperium set. 

Me ten years ago would be enamored, me now would like a set that's more versatile and more vintage in voice without being harshly bright (it's an ash guitar, it will almost always be bright and snappy).  For context I tend to play more thrash and 90's alternative style material, but I'd love to branch out into some heavy blues.

After several swaps I've found that the guitar has a light, honky/bubbly quality and probably a bit more mid/low-midrange than one might expect.

I've been mulling over a covered Stormy Monday set (I had the bridge model in a mahogany parts-caster and it was GORGEOUS, but I fear this guitar may make it sound harsh).  Any ideas/opinions/thoughts/information are/is/will be appreciated.  Please and thank you.

I reckon a holy diver set,or holy diver bridge at least would be a good bet.

Ive found the HD to be very versatile and do thrash and alternative pretty darn well (including using the HDiver bridge in an Ash RGR652 - so similar to yours)

Vintage and not too bright for heavier blues could be the Abraxas. 14 oHm Bridge which is more hot than stormy pup. As above, the Holy Diver could do what your asking without the treble harshness

Bought an Santana Abraxas 50th Anniversary from a local auction in a locked case. Btw I did not knew what is the guitar condition until I opened the case, so it was a cat in a sack. The case was pretty solid though and firstly I thought I will be able to open it on my own, but it took me too much time to manage to open it, with all that I wanted to keep it in a good shape so I did not wanted to make some suspicious manipulation that could damage its integrity. I took it to an emergency locksmith in west london to open it. Gladly the guys were able to pick the key in a short time, the price was good and even cheaper than I was expected. The Guitar was in a pretty good condition, no scratches and no damage. As I can't play guitar, I sold it for £600 in a week. So I can say it was a good deal
