Match for Apache Middle and neck
« on: August 02, 2022, 07:36:24 PM »
Have a middle and neck Apache pair need a bridge pickup (single coil sized) that is closely matched but  a little higher output with a mid/bass push for a nice full lead sound.

I'd start with a baseplated Apache bridge; you get the core Apache voice of the set then, but the baseplate adds bass and midrange in the bridge.

If you want even more mids, then I guess look at the Irish Tour, or the Slowhand for even more mids. But I reckon a baseplated Apache bridge will give you the extra you want while keeping the character of the set as a whole and avoiding any balancing issues,
