Isolation box
« on: May 10, 2006, 05:01:15 PM »
Hi, ive looked around the net etc, dont know of any actual real world stores that would sell/make them.

Looking for an isolation box for a 4x12 cab, ive priced making my own, i think its roughly £500 for a 1 metre square box, dual layer overlapping box, all the foam, carpeting and hinges/handles etc.

If no one knows of any places that sell boxes, could you recommend sizes for a home built one? would the metre square be enough?

Im a total nub with these things, just need something for home recording so i can crank my amp without deafening my parents, cheers guys.

You could check out the Axetrak. The problem with most isolation boxes including the Randall, Hermit, and Demeter is that they're not very quiet at all. I've got an Axetrak on the way, I'll be sure to post a review.
