Howdy-
Been a while since I have posted any soundclips, so here ye go...

The Guitars are my work-
My mate playing  his Librium 'ChupaCabra'  27" Baritones
w/ custom Warpigs: ceramic mags, uncovered
amp:Mesa Recto Recording,2x90

I play leads in this project : abusing my precious Librium 'Vorpal Blade Vee', fit with a Warpig Alnico, camo covered 4 wire to series parallel- I use this switch for transitions between lead/rhythm tones...love it.
rig:Zvex theMachine/WahProbe,Triaxis,G-force,2x90

The Tune is called 'Loathe,Scorn,Detest'-taken from a demo we tracked in Feb.2006-Band is Downlord, from Copenhagen,Dk.
it's racing along-tuned down to 'A'-

Fun project-Throatman is my best mate, Dave Ingram:sang with Boltthrower for 6 years after fronting Benediction for 8-super guy, and powerful mouthpiece!
Drummer is Reno Killerich:danish death metal drumgod-ex Dimmu Borgir/OldMansChild-we would be recording with him now, but he's touring Europe with HateEternal-good for him!-& our loss.

enjoy, and let me know what ye think. Also if ye have problemos trying to download/play it- many thanks!

cheers from Drac

Awesome stuff Drac. Really liked the tune. I didn't realise that was a drummer! I didnt read the description very carefully. Really good lead work as well from yourself, and obviously brilliant tone. The two tones work very well together and are very clear, especially for drop A. Any tips on keeping it that defined while tuned so low?

Nice one!

Sharpness detuned...

Fresh Strings...

Heavy ones...
'56,'52,'46,'36,'26,'16-
keep the string tension up-
heavier strings '60-'70 baritone strings start sounding like bass strings- no snap-

Back the Warpigs down a little so they're in the zone-

setup guitars different for low tuning-

more compensation,  as lower pitched strings bend wildly sharp EASY
shim the nut a hair,to eliminate fret buzz
dead flat Fingerboard + 1/8-1/4  turn of  the truss rod
-minimal relief

cheers for the kind words-Drac
