Warpigs into a custom 24

I am considering doing this, because I feel the massive output could help my quite thin sounding guitar. I did consider a Crawler set however I fear this may be too 'polite' sounding. As mentioned on other posts, I will play current rock (Foo Fighters) but also some pop punk would be good as well (The Story So Far, State Champs etc)

Can anyone offer some insight on this? My guitar is quite bright sounding if that helps!

I have a Silo bridge in a brighter sounding C22, which complements the guitars voicing well. The Silo has a raunchy voicing fitting for Rock music. The Silo is less compressed/ more open, less dark than a A5 Warpig and for my taste more versatile. 

I have no experience with the Crawler.

Ok that’s interesting, I’d never thought of that. Sounds quite versatile as well. Something else to consider!

"Bright" and "thin" are not the same, even though they may be an appropriate description on one and the same guitar. "Bright" in my terms means that the guitar has a lot of highs and high mids but still a healthy bottom. If that is your guitar, the Crawler will work well.

"Thin" in my terms means that the guitar is lean in the bass and low mid department. It does not necessarily have to be bright to be thin. If that is your guitar, the Crawler will not really add bottom to that, and the Alnico Warpig may be the better option, even though I never played one. I never played a Silo either.

I was asking about the Crawler in the PRS forum, I understand your points and will probably just have to buy something otherwise I never will!

I've had a CPig and its way over the top for your music IMO. Its very dark, bassy, compressed and "extreme metal" sounding. Think of it as a scratchier, thicker and more present sounding EMG 81.

Like mentioned above the Silo could be a good match. I don't know for sure since I havent tried one.
