HSS Stratocaster Bare Knuckle Humbucker Recommendation
« on: July 05, 2023, 11:47:47 PM »
Hey Guys - Thank you in advance for any advice I receive on this post. I just ordered a custom shop HSS Strat and was looking to install bare knuckle pickups. In almost every guitar I've had over the past 15 years, I've had a Seymour Duncan Invader in the bridge position. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to which bare knuckle humbucker would give me a similar sound. The tone I try (try being the key word lol) to achieve is somewhere between the master of puppets album and a more melodic pop punk sound (take off your pants and jacket album, rise against, title fight etc...). I like how the War Pig and Aftermath demos sound on the Bare Knuckle website - Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks Again!

The ceramic Warpig should get you closest to the Invader voicing, but the Aftermath would certainly be a good alternative, with a bit more growl in the mids, sharper highs and a faster attack, due to the more powerful magnet set.
Hi all, yes, it's another Tim! I'll be here to answer any questions you want to throw at me, here or via sales@bareknucklepickups.co.uk
